A remarkable outdoor transformation has just taken place in Lake Forest, IL, showcasing the extraordinary expertise of Kaplan Paving. The homeowners, seeking a replacement for a weathered and tired wood deck, opted for a sophisticated paver patio solution that now brings renewed vitality and elegance to their property. This bold choice not only revitalizes the yard but also frames the house’s beautiful architecture, enhancing sightlines and maximizing outdoor enjoyment.
The project began with strategic removal of the old deck, immediately opening views and possibilities for the space. Access to the revamped patio was thoughtfully addressed with new concrete stoops and steps, each tastefully veneered using Unilock Beacon Hill Smooth pavers and accentuated by Mattoni detailing. The addition of Ledgestone Rockface copings along the stair treads achieves a formal, finished look. The main expanse of the patio continues the theme, featuring matching Unilock surfaces and contemporary lighting accents that create a welcoming atmosphere, day or night.
Enhancing this Lake Forest outdoor living area, Kaplan Paving incorporated a stepping stone walking path that links the mud room exit directly to the patio. This thoughtful connectivity ensures practicality, encourages movement across the property, and supports a natural flow for outdoor gatherings. Subtle yet effective lighting around the patio edges provides both safety and ambiance for evening enjoyment.
This stunning brick paving project exemplifies intelligent design and lasting quality. The meticulous installation and material choices guarantee durability through Illinois’ challenging seasons, while the patio’s colors and textures harmonize perfectly with the surrounding landscape.
